I look around and there's something that bugs me, just a little, when a gallery is equal parts visual and equal parts prose. I'm not sure which ones I should be looking at, and it feels a little unorganized. Now, on my own, I have been a fairly prolific writer for several years now, in school, in side projects, even in adolescent fiction. But I've never felt very confident in placing these pieces on my main account, for the same reasons I wish others wouldn't either. Just a pet peeve of mine, but I am taking this opportunity to form a second account, which will center around, and only include, my written pieces. As my dream is to one day become a writer, whereas my visual endeavors are passing fancies and serve as a hobby, I am using this as more of a personal, hopefully professional enough resume and portfolio.
Included will be mainly fiction, various works and tales that are anywhere from sci-fi, fantasy, or allegorical (rarely, but not unheard of.) Also included will be essays I've written on a variety of subject, and on certain very rare occasions, songs. I feel too pompous to refer to them as poems, so I label them songs. Neither am I good enough to consider myself in the same profession as greats such as Robert Frost or Bill Waterson's occasional attmpts at the genre. Lastly, my verbal ambitions are in storytelling, and my nomenclature reflects this, so my stanzas routinely turn to paragraphs, and my rythm is regularly interrupted with some high and mighty trumpet blast of diction. Poetic rythm and multisyllable words are not the best of friends, I must readily admit.
In short, I hope you enjoy the selections here, and I will do my best to entertain.
